APW Outlet Body
Product Name: APW Outlet Body
Description:
This component is the outlet body, also known as the discharge manifold or high-pressure outlet block, specifically designed for APW series waterjet cutting systems. It is a precision-machined stainless steel component that serves as the high-pressure water outlet interface between the intensifier pump or on/off valve assembly and the cutting head plumbing. The outlet body directs pressurized water from the pump toward the cutting head while maintaining structural integrity under extreme pressure conditions.
Applications:
Used as the high-pressure water outlet connection point in APW waterjet cutting systems
Installed between the intensifier pump outlet or on/off valve and the high-pressure tubing leading to the cutting head
Suitable for ultra-high pressure waterjet systems operating at 60,000 PSI (approximately 4,137 bar)
Compatible with APW series cutting heads and high-pressure plumbing systems
Features:
High-Strength Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel to withstand extreme pressure cycling and harsh waterjet environments
Precision-Machined Ports: Features precision-machined inlet and outlet ports with high-pressure threads for leak-free connections
60,000 PSI Pressure Rating: Engineered for continuous operation at 60,000 PSI (4,137 bar)
Flow Optimization: Internal passages designed to minimize pressure drop and turbulence for consistent cutting performance
O-Ring Sealing Surfaces: Precision-machined grooves for O-ring seals to prevent high-pressure water leakage
Maintenance:
Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the outlet body for signs of cracking, corrosion, pitting, or thread damage. Pay particular attention to sealing surfaces and port threads
Thread Care: When disassembling, inspect all port threads for wear, galling, or deformation. Damaged threads can cause high-pressure leaks and system failure
O-Ring Replacement: Always replace all O-rings and seals associated with the outlet body during each service. Refer to APW spare parts list for correct seal sizes and types
Surface Cleaning: Clean the outlet body thoroughly using a soft cloth and low-pressure water. Remove all debris, mineral deposits, and old seal residue. Do not use abrasive tools that could scratch sealing surfaces
Full Depressurization: Always fully depressurize the waterjet system (both hydraulic and high-pressure water circuits) and follow lockout/tagout procedures before removing or servicing the outlet body
Lubrication: Apply high-pressure thread lubricant or anti-seize compound to threads during reassembly to prevent galling and ensure accurate torque application
Torque Compliance: Tighten all connections to the specific torque values listed in the equipment service manual. Over-tightening may damage threads; under-tightening may cause high-pressure leaks
Replacement Criteria: Replace the outlet body if cracks, severe internal erosion, thread damage, or sealing surface damage is detected. Do not attempt to repair a cracked or severely eroded outlet body
