400008-9-Adapter-HP-40k-60k.1980.3-1
Product Name: High-Pressure Adapter / HP Adapter (40k-60k) – Part No. 400008-9
Description:
The HP Adapter 400008-9 is a precision-engineered stainless steel fitting designed for waterjet cutting systems operating in the 40,000 to 60,000 PSI (approximately 2,758 to 4,137 bar) range. It serves as a connection component within the ultra-high pressure (UHP) fluid path, linking sections of high-pressure tubing, valves, or manifolds. The adapter features a male thread connection on one end and a female port on the other, facilitating a secure transition between two high-pressure components while maintaining a leak-free, metal-to-metal seal.
Applications:
Connecting high-pressure tubing to the inlet or outlet ports of intensifier pumps.
Serving as an interface between isolation valves and high-pressure cylinders.
Bridging connections between different sizes of HP fittings within the water distribution manifold.
Suitable for general hydraulic and water circuit connections in 40k-60k waterjet systems.
Features:
High-Pressure Compatibility: Robust construction from corrosion-resistant stainless steel ensures reliable operation under extreme pressure cycling.
Precision Threading: Features carefully cut threads (both male and female) designed to meet OEM specifications for a secure fit.
Cone Seat Sealing: Utilizes a precision-machined 60-degree cone seat to create a reliable metal-to-metal seal against the mating tubing or gland.
Durability: Engineered to withstand the vibration and hydraulic shock typical of waterjet intensifier operation.
Application Versatility: Suitable for use across a wide range of 40k and 60k waterjet platforms.
Maintenance:
Full Depressurization (Critical): Before any installation or removal, always fully depressurize the waterjet system, disconnect the power supply, and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
Inspection: Before assembly, examine the adapter threads and cone seat for nicks, galling, or corrosion. Damaged surfaces will compromise the seal and create dangerous leaks; replace the adapter immediately if damage is found.
Lubrication: Apply a thin, even layer of high-pressure anti-seize compound (such as "Silver Grade" or equivalent) to the male threads only. Do not apply lubricant to the cone sealing surfaces.
Torque Compliance: Use a torque wrench to tighten the adapter to the specific value listed in your equipment service manual. Use two wrenches to counter-hold the adapter body to prevent twisting stress.
Reusability: The adapter is a durable metal component. It can be reused if threads and cone seats remain in perfect condition. If the metal shows signs of wear or surface degradation, replace it.
