Laser height sensing is a non-contact pre-cutting height measurement method. Compared to traditional contact-type cylinder height sensing, the laser sensor significantly improves measurement accuracy while minimizing the risk of workpiece damage, ensuring a constant distance between the cutting head and the workpiece surface. It is particularly suitable for slabs or workpieces with 3D curved or irregular surfaces, thereby improving yield rates.
