Waterjet Accumulator | Energy-Buffer Module

Short Description:

The waterjet attenuator and accumulator are vital auxiliary components in high-pressure waterjet systems. The attenuator uses an elastic diaphragm to absorb periodic pressure ripples from the pump, while the accumulator stores pressurized water energy via compressed gas or a spring and releases it instantly during peak flow demands. Together, they effectively reduce pulsations, extend seal and component life, and enhance cut-edge smoothness and uniformity.

Applications: Installed in the high‑pressure fluid circuit between the intensifier pump and the cutting head. Used in both pure‑water and abrasive‑jet cutting systems to ensure stable, uninterrupted pressure delivery, improve cut quality, and extend the service life of pumps, seals, and fittings. Features: Stores pressurized water or hydraulic fluid to meet peak flow demands. Effectively absorbs pump‑induced pressure ripples and harmonic vibrations. Reduces mechanical stress on tubing, valves, and nozzle assemblies. Constructed from corrosion‑resistant materials rated for ultra‑high pressures. Pre‑charged with inert gas (e.g., nitrogen) for rapid response and consistent damping. Maintenance: Periodically check the pre‑charge pressure and recharge if necessary. Inspect the outer shell for signs of corrosion, pitting, or impact damage. Monitor system pressure stability; excessive fluctuation may indicate internal bladder/diaphragm failure. Replace the attenuator/accumulator if the bladder is ruptured, the housing is cracked, or pressure cannot be maintained. Not user‑repairable; replacement of the complete unit is recommended when performance declines.
