490071-2-100k-Cross-HP.1976.3-1
Product Name: High Pressure Cross (100k psi) – Part No. 490071-2
Description:
This component is a high-pressure 4-way cross fitting, designed for ultra-high pressure waterjet cutting systems rated at 100,000 psi (approximately 6,900 bar). It is a precision-machined stainless steel connector that creates a four-port junction, allowing a single high-pressure water line to branch into two independent paths or serving as a central hub for intensifier manifolds.
The cross fitting is engineered for extreme cyclic pressure operation and features precision-machined threads with integrated 60-degree cone sealing surfaces. This design provides a reliable, metal-to-metal leak-proof seal when assembled with high-pressure tubing, gland nuts, and coned inserts.
Applications:
Serves as a central hydraulic hub for waterjet intensifier assemblies and manifolds.
Splits high-pressure water flow from a single source to feed multiple intensifier cylinders or cutting heads.
Creates rigid, high-flow junctions in ultra-high pressure plumbing systems.
Compatible with 100k psi (6,900 bar) waterjet systems.
Features:
4-Way Cross Configuration: Provides four ports for versatile fluid branching and distribution.
100,000 PSI Rating: Engineered specifically for the highest pressure class of modern waterjet systems.
Stainless Steel Construction: Ensures excellent corrosion resistance and fatigue life under high-cycle operation.
Precision Sealing Surfaces: Machined 60-degree cone seats guarantee a reliable metal-to-metal seal with compatible HP tube fittings and adapters.
Maintenance:
Inspection: Before installation, thoroughly inspect all four ports‘ threads and cone seats for nicks, galling, or deformation. Any damage will cause high-pressure leaks. Examine the fitting body for cracks, pitting, or corrosion.
Full Depressurization (Critical): Always fully depressurize the waterjet system and follow lockout/tagout procedures before installing or removing the fitting.
Thread Preparation: Clean all threads thoroughly. Apply a thin, even layer of high-pressure anti-seize lubricant to the male threads of mating gland nuts only. Do not apply lubricant to the cone seats.
Proper Seating: Ensure HP tubing and coned inserts are fully seated in the ports before tightening.
Torque Compliance: Use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten all four gland nuts to the values specified in your equipment service manual. Use a second wrench to counter-hold the cross body to prevent twisting stress.
Replacement: Replace the fitting immediately if any port shows thread damage, the body is cracked, or cone seats are pitted or eroded.
