Product ID: 20453064 – Autoline™ II Cutting Head Body (Lower Body Assembly)

Description:
This component is the Autoline™ II cutting head body, specifically the lower body assembly, designed for abrasive waterjet cutting systems. It is a precision-machined component that forms the main structural housing of the Autoline II cutting head, containing the mixing chamber, wear components, and providing the mounting interface for the focusing tube. The Autoline II series is known for its durability and ease of maintenance in high-production environments.

Applications:

  • Used as the primary lower body housing for Autoline™ II abrasive waterjet cutting head assemblies.

  • Installed between the upper water valve assembly and the focusing tube retainer, containing the mixing chamber where abrasive particles combine with the high-pressure waterjet.

  • Suitable for ultra-high pressure waterjet systems operating at 60,000 PSI to 90,000 PSI (approximately 4,137 bar to 6,200 bar).

Features:

  • Constructed from high-strength, corrosion-resistant hardened stainless steel to withstand extreme pressure and abrasive erosion.

  • Precision-machined internal bore and sealing surfaces for proper fit with wear inserts, mixing tubes, and upper valve components.

  • Designed with the Autoline self-aligning feature, ensuring perfect coaxial alignment between the orifice, mixing chamber, and focusing tube for extended consumable life.

  • Engineered for tool-free maintenance, allowing rapid replacement of wear components without special tools.

  • Provides the structural integrity to withstand continuous pressure cycling at ultra-high pressures.

  • Compatible with Autoline II series wear inserts, focusing tubes, and upper valve assemblies.

Maintenance:

  • Fully depressurize the waterjet system and follow lockout/tagout procedures before servicing the cutting head body.

  • During disassembly, remove the focusing tube retainer and focusing tube, then separate the upper valve assembly from the cutting head body.

  • Thoroughly clean the internal bore and mixing chamber area using a soft cloth and low-pressure water; remove all compacted abrasive debris and residue.

  • Inspect the internal bore for signs of erosion, pitting, scoring, or diameter enlargement caused by abrasive flow.

  • Inspect all sealing surfaces and O-ring grooves for damage, wear, or corrosion.

  • Check all threaded connections (for retainer and upper assembly) for thread damage, galling, or wear.

  • Replace the cutting head body if internal bore erosion exceeds manufacturer-specified limits, if cracks are detected, if sealing surfaces are compromised, or if threads are damaged.

  • When reinstalling, ensure all seals and O-rings are new and properly lubricated with manufacturer-recommended high-pressure grease.

  • Install the wear insert and focusing tube, ensuring proper alignment and seating before tightening the retainer.

  • Tighten all connections to the torque values specified in the equipment service manual.

  • After reassembly, slowly pressurize the system and check for external leakage around all sealing interfaces.

  • During routine maintenance, always replace the wear insert and focusing tube together as a matched set for optimal performance.
