301329-1-xx Diamond Cutting Head Assembly Used for H2O Waterjet
Product Name: Diamond Cutting Head Assembly (Part No. 301329-1-xx) – IDE III Series for H2O Waterjet
Description:
This component is a complete diamond cutting head assembly from the Integral Diamond Eductor (IDE) III series, designed specifically for H2O Jet waterjet cutting systems. It represents a significant advancement over traditional cutting head designs by integrating the diamond orifice, mixing chamber, and body into a single, pre-aligned unit. The assembly is rated for ultra-high pressure operation (60,000–94,000 PSI / approximately 4,137–6,480 bar) and is available in multiple orifice sizes indicated by the -xx suffix (e.g., -11, -12, -13, -14).
Applications:
Primary cutting head assembly for abrasive waterjet cutting of metals, stone, glass, ceramics, composites, and armor plate
Direct replacement or upgrade for existing H2O Jet waterjet systems
Compatible with multi-axis cutting heads for bevel and 3D profile cutting
Suitable for both 60,000 PSI (standard) and 94,000 PSI (Extreme Pressure) operation
Features:
Integrated Diamond Orifice: The diamond orifice is factory-aligned within the mixing chamber, eliminating manual alignment and the risk of misalignment. This provides 10–20 times the performance life of standard sapphire or ruby orifices.
Extended Service Life: Under normal operating conditions with proper filtration, the IDE cutting head lasts a minimum of 500 hours, with most customers experiencing 1,000+ hours of life.
Improved Cut Quality & Speed: The perfect coaxial alignment delivers up to 50% faster cutting speeds and superior edge quality compared to standard sapphire-based heads.
Reduced Operating Cost: The optimized mixing chamber design reduces abrasive (garnet) consumption by up to 20% per inch of cut.
Low Maintenance Design: As a single integrated unit, it requires no maintenance on the mixing chamber itself, simplifying operation and reducing downtime.
Maintenance:
Mandatory Filtration (Critical):
An inline high-pressure filter such as the "Short Stop Filter" MUST be used upstream of the cutting head. This protects the integrated diamond orifice from debris and foreign objects in the water supply. Failure to use a filter will void the warranty and severely damage the diamond.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor cut quality regularly. A decrease in cutting speed or deterioration of edge finish may indicate the diamond or mixing chamber is nearing the end of its service life.
Unlike traditional heads, there is no daily alignment check; the integrated design maintains permanent alignment.
Replacement:
This is an integrated assembly. When the diamond wears out, the complete head assembly is replaced rather than individual components.
The focusing tube (mixing tube) is a separate component that can be replaced as needed.
Always fully depressurize the waterjet system and follow lockout/tagout procedures before disconnecting or replacing the cutting head.
