Product ID: 20427648 – 3-Port Pneumatic Dump Valve Body (Bleed Down Valve Body)

Description:
This component is a three-port (3-port) pneumatic valve body, specifically a round-style bleed down valve body or dump valve body, designed for ultra-high pressure (UHP) waterjet cutting systems . It serves as the main housing that directs and regulates the flow of high-pressure water through the pneumatic dump valve assembly, providing a rapid pressure release function for the cutting system .

The valve body is configured as a normally open (NO) three-port round pneumatic valve body used in 60,000 PSI (approximately 4,137 bar) waterjet systems . The two side ports feature 3/8-inch high-pressure (HP) connections, while the bottom port is designed for a specific adapter (VL49830904) .

Applications:

  • Used as the primary dump valve body in the pneumatic dump valve assembly of waterjet intensifier pumps and cutting systems

  • Installed in the high-pressure water line between the intensifier pump outlet and the cutting head to enable rapid pressure bleed-down during emergency stops, program pauses, or tool changes

  • Suitable for ultra-high pressure waterjet systems operating at 60,000 PSI (approximately 4,137 bar)

  • Compatible with KMT, Waterjet Sweden, Multicam, Caretta, TechniJet, FLOW, OMAX, and WSI waterjet intensifier systems

Features:

  • Three-Port Pneumatic Design: Precision-machined three-port configuration with two side ports (3/8" HP connection) and one bottom port for rapid pressure release

  • Normally Open Configuration: Default state is open, allowing high-pressure water to flow; pneumatic actuation is required to close the valve

  • High-Strength Material: Manufactured from high-grade steel or stainless steel, offering superior corrosion resistance, durability, and dimensional stability under extreme pressure cycling

  • CNC-Machined Precision: CNC-machined to exact tolerances with high dimensional accuracy for perfect fit, airtight sealing, and leak-free operation

  • High Fatigue Resistance: Manufactured with advanced heat treatment processes (solid solution double-aging) and high-pressure bore mirror finishing to increase metal fatigue resistance

  • Smooth Shifting and Accurate Timing: Ensures smooth intensifier shifting, stable hydraulic cycling, and consistent pressure output for reliable cutting performance

  • Product Weight: Approximately 0.24 kg to 1.32 kg (0.53–2.91 lbs) depending on source

  • Maximum Working Pressure: 4,137 bar (60,000 PSI)

  • OEM Compatibility: Replaces OEM part numbers including 5000398 and cross-references with VL20427648

Maintenance:

  • Critical Safety Component: The dump valve body is a safety device designed to instantly release high pressure from the system. Proper maintenance is imperative to prevent potential injury

  • Inspection: During pneumatic valve or intensifier overhaul, inspect the valve body for signs of cracking, corrosion, pitting, erosion, or thread damage. Pay particular attention to internal flow passages and sealing surfaces

  • Thread Inspection: Check all threaded ports (two side 3/8" HP ports and bottom port) for signs of wear, galling, corrosion, or deformation. Damaged threads can cause high-pressure leaks

  • Seal Replacement: When servicing the dump valve assembly, always replace all associated seals, O-rings, and gaskets. Do not reuse old sealing components

  • Full Depressurization (Critical): Always fully depressurize both the hydraulic system and the high-pressure water system, and vent compressed air supply, before removing or servicing the valve body. Follow lockout/tagout procedures to prevent severe injury from high-pressure water release

  • Internal Passage Cleaning: Clean the internal flow passages thoroughly using low-pressure water and a soft brush. Remove all debris, mineral deposits, or old seal residue that could restrict flow or damage downstream components

  • Torque Compliance: When reinstalling, tighten all connections (gland nuts, adapters) to the specific torque values listed in the equipment service manual. Over-tightening may damage threads; under-tightening may cause high-pressure leaks

  • Thread Lubrication: Apply manufacturer-recommended high-pressure thread lubricant or anti-seize compound to all threads during reassembly to prevent galling and ensure accurate torque application

  • Replacement Criteria: Replace the valve body if cracks, severe corrosion, internal erosion, or thread damage is detected. Do not attempt to repair a cracked or severely eroded valve body

  • Compatibility Verification: Before installation, verify that the valve body matches the specific waterjet system model and pressure rating (60,000 PSI) and is compatible with the appropriate adapter (VL49830904) for the bottom port

  • Port Adapter Note: The bottom port requires a special adapter (VL49830904) for connection to the high-pressure water system. Ensure this adapter is present and in good condition during installation
