400077-Nipple-HP-40k-60k.1973.3-1
Product Name: HP Nipple (High-Pressure Threaded Connector) – Part No. 400077
Description:
This component is a high-pressure (HP) nipple, a short, threaded cylindrical fitting designed for 40k-60k PSI waterjet systems. As a double-female or male-to-male connector, it serves as a direct, rigid link between two high-pressure components, such as valves, manifolds, pumps, and high-pressure tubing assemblies. Manufactured from high-strength stainless steel, the fitting is engineered to withstand the extreme mechanical stresses and cyclic pressure loads up to 60,000 PSI (approx. 4,100 bar) without deformation. The nipple features precision-machined threads and integrated 60-degree cone sealing surfaces, enabling a reliable, leak-proof metal-to-metal seal when installed with compatible gland nuts and coned inserts.
Applications:
Directly connecting high-pressure valves, manifold blocks, intensifier pump outlets, and high-pressure tubing adapters.
Providing a rigid, leak-free fluid passage in the high-pressure water circuit.
Used during the assembly of intensifier pumps and maintenance of high-pressure plumbing systems.
Compatible with H2O Jet, KMT, and other standard 40k-60k waterjet systems.
Features:
High-Strength Construction: Machined from corrosion-resistant stainless steel to ensure durability under extreme pressure and vibration.
Direct OEM Replacement: A standard, interchangeable component within 40k-60k high-pressure fluid systems.
Precision Sealing Surfaces: Engineered with 60-degree cone seats for a reliable metal-to-metal seal.
Maintenance:
Inspection: Before each installation, meticulously inspect the nipple's threads and cone sealing surfaces for any nicks, galling, corrosion, or cracks. Damaged surfaces will create high-pressure leak paths and the component must be replaced immediately.
Thread Care: To prevent thread galling, clean all threads thoroughly. Apply a thin, even layer of high-pressure anti-seize lubricant to the male threads before assembly, but keep the cone seats clean and dry.
Full Depressurization: Always fully depressurize the waterjet system, shut off the water supply, and follow lockout/tagout procedures before installing or removing any high-pressure fitting.
Torque Compliance: Use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten the mating gland nuts to the value specified in your equipment service manual. Use a second wrench to counter-hold the nipple body to prevent twisting stress on the assembly.
Replacement: Due to its critical role in maintaining a high-pressure seal, a nipple should be replaced if it shows any signs of damage, wear, or if it has been previously over-tightened.
